Study assessing the Employment and Social Impact of Energy Efficiency, for European Commission, DG ENER

The main objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive picture of the current employment impact related to energy efficiency policies for all economic sectors (and their subsectors) across the EU territory and to evaluate the sectoral changes that the new energy efficiency policies set at national and EU level would deliver. In addition, in the study are developed tools (e.g. coefficients, easy-to-use formulas, indicators, etc.) for the evaluation of the employment impact of energy efficiency policies and measures in order to facilitate policy making. The study provides information of the needs for specific skills the lack of which could be a bottleneck to the realisation of the employment potential to its fullest extent.
