FORASSET: Foresight and Assessment for Environmental Technologies, for European Commission, DG Research
The objective of this project was to modify the mechanism of two models, the econometric model NEMESIS and the general equilibrium model GEM-E3 for assessing policies that promote directly or indirectly the adoption of environmental technologies. The modification was grounded on a deep knowledge of environmental technologies and has involved a new decision module for technology adoption. Three types of policies were suggested to be assessed with the new instruments: 3% RTD policies, generic environmental policies and policies directly based on environmental technologies adoption.
