Economic Evaluation of Energy and Environment Technology within a Global Context: Comparative Evaluation for Hungary and Greece, study for the Greek Ministry of Development
The objective of this project was the comparative evaluation of key technologies for energy, that would induce improvements in energy efficiency in Hungary while being environment friendly (especially concerning CO2 emissions and acid rain). The economic cost of harmonising regulations and conforming to the norms set within the EU were measured while the economic implications of fiscal measures and instruments energy and environment oriented were evaluated. The economic evaluation was carried out by using the general equilibrium model GEM-E3. (The work was built upon existing models and databases and was centred on scenario characterisation)
