National and Local Employment Impacts of Energy Efficiency Investment Programmes, for European Commission, DG XVII
This project assesses the national and local employment impacts of energy efficiency investment programmes. Its aims are to provide a systematic, bottom-up appraisal of the national and local employment impacts of energy efficiency programmes, and to complement this with the results of a national-scale input-output modelling approach informed by the same data set, and general equilibrium modelling at the EU level. The objective is to provide policy makers (at local, national and EU levels) with an analysis which gives them clear indications of the employment effects by sector and by policy approach, and which then estimates an overall employment impact for a range of investment policy scenarios.
