The basic objective of the project was to provide an advanced tool for a consistent evaluation of environmental and R&D policy measures in terms of their ecological, economical and distributional impacts on the European Union, the EU member countries, and on sectors and consumers. The project aimed at introducing endogenous growth mechanisms in the large-scale general equilibrium model GEM-E3 and expanding the coverage of the model to World level.
