NEMESIS: New Econometric Model for Environment and Strategies Implementation for Sustainable development, for European Commission, DG Research
The main objective of the project is to build a new econometric model, based on the E3ME model, which has reached its limits both on the software side and economic side. In fact this model was neither user friendly nor transparent and it must be readapted to answer to new questions on R&D and environmental problems. We intend to transfer the E3ME model to a new software which is more user friendly, transparent and efficient that the old ones. Secondly we will improve the model for having more coherent results, and then we add in this model an environmental module and new economic properties such as innovation and perfect foresight mechanisms. After testing this new model, we intend to produce a medium term forecast and some studies on policy cases concerning environmental policies such as taxation, subsidies and others economic instruments.
