Framework to Regulate the Operation and Planning of Medium Size electricity Grids combining RES and Conventional", for European Commission, DG XVII
The main objective of the project were: to investigate the parameters, which may be subjected to, regulation and which affect various aspects of RES exploitation in medium size electricity systems; to establish a methodology for the evaluation of alternative strategies (policies) for RES exploitation in medium size electricity systems; to develop a S/W tool implementing the methodology; to provide rules for the planning and operation of RES into medium size electricity systems; to apply the tool developed to study alternative strategies in Crete and Madeira islands.
