Course Description

Energy analysis concepts. Global energy issues and problems. Discussion of energy policy problems of Greece. Formal description of energy systems at national and regional levels. Energy balances and energy flows diagram. The energy system within the national economic system. Introduction to energy demand forecasting. Economic equations for energy demand forecasting. Analytical models of energy demand. Energy supply programming and optimization. Energy networks and markets. Energy chains, lifge cycle analysis, costs and prices of energy. Energy models for planning and economic analysis.
